Damant Lodge is nestled in the small town of Port Alfred, Eastern Cape.
The beauty of the Kowie River and the long sandy beaches attracts retirees to settle in Port Alfred as well as making it a family favourite holiday destination. The blend of facilities and attractions makes it’s ideal for retirement as well as plenty of visits from family!

Clubs & Groups
For the physically active we boast a royal golf course (with the status bestowed by King George in 1924!) two competitive bowling clubs, a croquet club, a running club, two gyms and of course beautiful beaches for long walks.
And to stay mentally active and involved we offer a bridge club, U3a, Probus, a historical society and museum run by volunteers. There are a number of charity organisations always looking for volunteers

It’s not called the Sunshine Coast for nothing. If you’re the fit and adventurous type there are long stretches of beach for walking and perhaps even swimming! Or even just enjoying the fresh sea air from the pier or watching the boats on the river.
